AVM Design Selection Guide Individual Design Steps
STEP 1
Select suitable product groups for the equipment to be mounted and the application into which the equipment is to be installed.

STEP 2
Determine the equipment weight, centre of gravity and number of AVM's to establish the required mounting load capacities.

STEP 3
Identify the excitation frequencies present, determine the preferred mounting deflections consistant with achieving good isolation performance using the Isolation Chart Calculator.

STEP 4
Worked Example and Consideration of Special Environmental Conditions e.g. Oil Contamination, high temperatures, corrosive atmosphere which dictate choice of metals and possible special polymers.

STEP 5 - Installation Considerations
N.B. Services and pipe work connections to any system must be suitably flexible to avoid compromising the isolation performance.

If in doubt contact Vibracoustics, who can advise on total system design.
